June 25:  Llanes Rest Day

Today is Sunday and the town is quiet.  All day yesterday we heard firecrackers going off, young men singing, and saw bars and taverns overflowing with people celebrating something of which we are not sure.  Today they are all resting!!!

The town of Llanes is another very old city with its winding narrow streets, beautiful medieval looking buildings and many out door cafes.  It sits on the edge of the sea along side a river, so has been a port town for hundred of years.  Being a rest day for us, the quiet seems fantastic.  Journal writing, napping, doing wash, -- just hanging out -- giving our bodies a chance to catch up to our minds.

Tomorrow we have the longest day of the trip, so doing nothing seems the right thing to do today!

Rest Day!!
