Naples to Maratea and back

Sixteen women are transporting themselves from all points of the US to meet in Naples, Italy to begin an bike adventure along the Amalfi Coast organized and supported by Woman Tours, the only all women bike tour company in America. From the Mount Vesuvius volcano to the medieval city of Maratea, through the Mingardo Canyon and the olive groves, along the coast and up the mountainside in the Cilento National Park to the village of Paestum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring the remains of three major temples in the Doric style dating from the 7th Century BC the group will pedal. Add the sunniest town in Italy, Salerno, and the beautiful village of Amalfi as well as the town of Positano, considered the most scenic village on the coast, and the group will have hours of pure pleasure as they amble along on their bikes. Immediately following the bike portion, this writer will be relaxing for two days in Naples before flying on to Paris, France for a short interlude.
